How to screen Embrace

WHO CAN HOST A SCREENING?
Anybody! That’s right, anybody in the UK can host a screening. From individuals and families or schools and universities to gyms, businesses, networking groups and councils, anybody can be a screening host and help share the message of Embrace.

HOW MUCH DOES A SCREENING LICENCE COST?
A licence to screen Embrace costs a total of £300. That means with just 30 viewers paying £10 each, you will break even – a cinch!

CAN I ORGANISE A SCREENING AS A FUNDRAISER?
You can use your screening licence as an opportunity to raise awareness, solicit donations, and galvanize your community into action. While you are welcome to fundraise in conjunction with your screening, the Body Image Movement cannot assist with any fundraising duties.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH MY LICENCE?
You will receive a copy of the film as a digital download. Along with a copy of the film, you will have access to the Embrace Toolkit that includes downloadable posters, social media posts and email templates to help make your screening of Embrace a success!

HOW DO I PROMOTE MY SCREENING?
Start with word of mouth, telling your friends, family and anyone you think would be interested in seeing the film. You can then share the details of your screening across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram along with implementing ideas outlined in your Embrace Toolkit. See Screening Tips for further suggestions!

HOW DO I HOST A SCREENING AS AN EDUCATION PARTNER?
As an Education Partner, your contribution entitles your business to 10 x Embrace licences that you may screen to your employees, distribute to your franchisees or gift to local schools and community groups.

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE FILM?
We provide the film to you as a downloadable MP4 file. You will receive an email with a link to Vimeo where you must put in your password before you can download the film as per the instructions provided.

WHEN CAN I HOST MY SCREENING?
You may host your screening of Embrace any time after you have purchased your screening licence.

WHERE CAN I HOST MY SCREENING?
Screenings of Embrace can be held anywhere in the UK & Ireland. This means you may host your screening in any public place you wish including your school, university, your workplace or business, your gym, a community centre or library and best of all – in your home. You can hold your screening within a cinema setting. We provide the film as a downloadable MP4 file and some cinemas cannot play this file, please check with them first. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN ATTEND MY SCREENING?
The number of viewers that attend your screening is only limited by the capacity of your venue!

WHO CAN ATTEND MY SCREENING?
Films rated 12A are suitable for children aged 12 and over. However, people younger than 12 may see a 12A film – so long as they are accompanied by an adult

CAN I HOST MY SCREENING IN IRELAND?
You can host your screening of Embrace in Ireland. Please note screening licences are charged in Great British Pounds. The Education Study Guide is written for the UK curriculum; however, it can be adapted to suit other curriculums.

About the Embrace screening licence

HOW MANY TIMES CAN I SCREEN EMBRACE WITH MY LICENCE?
Each licence purchased allows you to screen Embrace once only. Should you wish to screen Embrace multiple times, you will need to purchase multiple licences. Schools are exempt and may show the film multiple times within their school setting.

WHAT DOES THE LICENCE ENTITLE YOU TO?
You may hold your screening once in a public or private setting. Schools may show the film multiple times within their school.
– You may charge a fee for ticket holders.
– You may use this event as a fundraising initiative.

WHAT RESTRICTIONS ARE THERE FOR LICENCE HOLDERS?
– You may not show your screening more than once. Schools may show the film multiple times within their school.
– You cannot host this screening in a cinema setting.
– Embrace is a copyrighted product and must not be duplicated.
– Embrace the film cannot be on sold to individuals, third party wholesalers or retailers.

WHAT IS THE PROJECT TIMELINE?
July 27 – November 30 2017
Purchase your licence and begin promoting your screening.

There is no expiry on your screening licence, however to achieve our mission, we must find 2,000 hosts before the end of November so lets get as many people to watch and host the film before November 30.

In response to Embrace: The Union Project, the Body Image Movement aims to make the Embrace Education Study Guide accessible to secondary schools and colleges across the UK for FREE.

About the Embrace Education Study Guide

WHAT IS THE EMBRACE EDUCATION STUDY GUIDE?
The Embrace Education Study Guide allows teachers to foster positive body image in the classroom and promote the skills required to build resilience, confidence and self-esteem. Comprised of engaging lesson plans and student worksheets, the guide supports teachers to screen Embrace in the classroom and use it as a catalyst to facilitate life-changing body image conversations.

WHAT IS AN EMBRACE EDUCATION STUDY GUIDE ‘EDUCATION PARTNER’?
As part of The Union Project, the Body Image Movement is inviting businesses to come on board as an education partner and financially help propel the Embrace Education Study Guide into UK secondary schools. This opportunity is exclusive to 50 businesses only and businesses are selected at the discretion of the Body Image Movement. Learn more here.

Embrace will not appear on any subscription service or be released on DVD until after The Union Project has concluded.
