Too often, we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia

Body image is my greatest passion – I honestly cannot think of anything that motivates, interests and intrigues me more. After my own body image struggles in the past, I decided years ago to talk about this topic openly and by so doing, learned just how many people are not satisfied with their appearance. Many simply feel unable to embrace their bodies just as they are. In fact, body dissatisfaction seems to be the rule rather than the exception in our society. This breaks my heart because everybody deserves to live a happy life; how can you possibly do that without loving your body? It is, therefore, my heartfelt wish to help people love their bodies the way they deserve. I know well enough what a difficult journey this can be but I am convinced that the body-image movement can help foster this important change toward unconditional self-love and broader definitions of beauty. I know it has already changed many people’s lives and views, so I am particularly proud to be part of this movement! At present, I am contributing to the movement as a PhD student conducting research on the “ideal beach body”. Furthermore, I have taught several courses on body image, specifically in the context of consumer behaviour, marketing, and the media. Last but not least, I am a very happy full-time Mum 🙂 Please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you!
