I want to apologise to all the women I have called pretty before I have called them intelligent or brave I am sorry I made it sound as though something as simple as what you're born with is the most you have to be proud of when your spirit has crushed mountains from now on I want to say things like you are resilient or you are extraordinary not because I don't think you're pretty but because I think you are so much more than that. - Rupi Kaur.
My embrace journey started after my first daughter born. I begun to panic at the thought of my daughter growing up and living her life with the body issues I had so I decided I needed to learn to love myself. It is a hard and long journey but I am determined to teach my daughters (and hopefully others too!) that there is more to life than trying to achieve societies unrealistic beauty standards.
