Oh my God, what if you wake up some day, and you're 65 or 75, and you never got your memoir or novel written; or you didn't go swimming in warm pools and oceans all those years because your thighs were jiggly and you had a nice big comfortable tummy; or you were just so strung out on perfectionism and people-pleasing that you forgot to have a big juicy creative life, of imagination and radical silliness and staring off into space like when you were a kid? It's going to break your heart. Don't let this happen. - Anne Lamott

It took two eating disorders for me to finally break through all my body image obsessions. A life of dieting since I was five, and a mind that self attacked all the time, took real healing in all areas of life. Inside I was just hating and hating on my amazing body. Now I spend my time professionally and personally helping women create the life they long for and let go of all that self attack. I’m trained in Eating Psychology Coaching and it was during that programme that I discovered the amazing film that is Embrace – and even got to spend time with Taryn when she came to speak at my place of work. Learning to Embrace has been a core part of my recovery and I’m passionate about the impact this film has on women. There are so many women who need to fall in love with their imperfect selves and get on with being shining lights in the world. That’s what I’m all about. We’ll be showing Embrace in Edinburgh for a long time yet!
